The foundations of The Tiny Feast Co
When I first started cooking for my family, I quickly realised something...
I didn't want to cook two separate meals every evening.
I wanted our baby to enjoy the same flavours, the same family recipes and the same mealtimes as everyone else—just adapted to be safe and suitable for their stage of development.
That simple idea became the foundation of Tiny Feast Co.
The Two Casserole Dish Method
You'll notice that many of our recipes use two casserole dishes.
One large dish for the family.
One smaller dish for your baby.
The ingredients are almost always the same. The difference is simply how and when we adapt the recipe.
The baby's dish is prepared without added salt and with gentle seasoning. The adult dish can then be finished with extra seasoning, spice, wine or stronger flavours after the baby's portion has been set aside.
It's one recipe—not two separate dinners.
Why We Cook This Way
This approach means:
- Everyone eats together.
- Your baby experiences the same family meals.
- You spend less time cooking.
- Batch cooking becomes much easier.
- The freezer quickly fills with homemade meals ready for busy days.
Most importantly, your little one grows up seeing family food as their food too.
Our Principles
Everything we create at Tiny Feast Co. comes back to a few simple ideas.
One meal. Two versions.
We believe family meals shouldn't mean extra work. One recipe can work beautifully for everyone with just a few thoughtful adjustments.
Babies belong at the family table.
Food is about much more than nutrition. It's conversation, routine, confidence and sharing everyday moments together.
Flavour comes first.
Babies don't need bland food. Fresh herbs, gentle spices and colourful ingredients help create meals the whole family genuinely enjoys.
Real life matters.
Some evenings you'll cook from scratch.
Other evenings you'll pull homemade croquettes from the freezer or reheat last week's cottage pie.
Both are wins.
Progress, not perfection.
Not every meal will be eaten.
Not every recipe will become an instant favourite.
That's completely normal.
The Tiny Feast Co. is about making family mealtimes easier, not perfect.
Why Two Casserole Dishes?
People often ask why we don't simply remove a baby's portion before seasoning.
Sometimes we do.
But having a dedicated smaller casserole dish gives you much more flexibility.
It allows you to:
- Cook different vegetables if needed.
- Blend or mash a baby's portion more easily.
- Add herbs or spices at different stages.
- Freeze ready-made baby meals straight from the dish.
- Build a freezer stash while the adults enjoy dinner.
It's a simple system that fits into real family life.
Welcome to Tiny Feast Co.
Every recipe we share is built around one simple belief:
Family food should bring everyone to the same table.
One meal.
Two versions
The whole family fed.
